Isoko North Chairman Presents N15.7bn Budget to Legislative Arm for Approval

The Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Godwin Ogorugba has presented a budget of fifteen billion, seven hundred and sixty five million, six hundred and eighty nine thousand, six hundred and six naira, forty kobo (N15, 765, 689,606. 40) to the legislative arm for consideration and passage.

Presenting the budget Tuesday, Ogorugba, said the proposed 2026 budget which is christened “Budget of Consolidation”, consists of recurrent expenditure of seven billion, four hundred and thirty one million, three hundred and sixty five thousand, nine hundred and sixty naira, thirty three kobo ( N7, 431, 365,960, 33 ) and capital expenditure of eight Billion, three hundred and eighteen million, six hundred and forty seven thousand , forty one naira and thirty one kobo ( N8, 318, 647,041. 31), amounting to the sum of fifteen Billion, seven hundred and sixty five million, six hundred and eighty nine thousand, six hundred and six naira, forty kobo ( #15, 765, 689, 606. 40) for the 2026 fiscal year.

The chairman Ogorugba retierated his administration’s commitment to judiciously use of the budget to address the demand of Isoko North people in ensuring peace and security, human capital development, Youth and women empowerment , Health Care delivery, and infrastructural development among others.

Ogorugba enumerated some of the projects to be embarked upon which includes, renovation of primary healthcare centres in some communities within the local government, completion of residential quarters for vice chairman, secretary, head of personnel management (HPM) and treasurer, completion of Otor-Igho cottages hospital, renovation and furnishing of legislative building, dualization of road within the local government Linking to Ozoro kwale Express way among others.

While appreciating the leader of the house and the councillors for their cooperation and support for his administration in consolidating the Renewed Hope for MORE Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Ogorugba appealed to them for speedy consideration and passage of the proposed Budget.

The leader of the Isoko North legislative Arm, Pascal Emeluaha, applauded the council chairman for what he called visionary leadership and numerous projects executed across wards in the local government, assuring him that the house will give the budget speedy consideration and passage for the best interest of Isoko North people.
