Southern Delta Varsity Medical Science Students Honour Isoko North Boss With Award
As a show of appreciation for his commitment and dedication to duty, chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Godwin Ogorugba, has been confered with an award by the Faculty of Basic Medical Science Students Association of the Southern Delta University, Ozoro.
Presenting the award to the council chairman on behalf of the Association, the leader of the delegation, Goodluck Godstime Okeoghene, noted that the award was as a recognition of the significance improvement, development, transformation and good governance by the chairman.
The Association however acknowledged the dedication of the council boss which has created a positive change within the council area, stressing that Ogorugba’s leadership has been instrumental in fostering a healthier environment which has enhanced the quality of life for it’s residents.
Te Association further brings to the awareness of the council boss, their plans of undertaking a community service initiative through sensitization programs aimed at reaching out to individuals in need of health services assistance thereby seeking support and approval necessary for the implementation of the initiative, tailored towards promoting health awareness amongst underserved populations.
Receiving the award, the council chairman, Ogorugba, urged the students to prioritize their studies and promised to give them all the necessary support needed in carrying out the sensitization program.
Present during the award presentation were Alebe Joshua Onos, Supervisor for Environment, Isoko North, Thomas Akpoedafe Supervisor for Agric and Egwu Oghenero Alakpodia, Supervisor for Works and among others.
