Member representing Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Francis Waive, has congratulated Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on his emergence as Governor of the Year 2025 by Leadership Newspapers.

Waive spoke on Thursday at the 18th Leadership Annual Conference and Awards held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja, where the governor was honoured for his performance in office.

Describing the award as well-deserved, Waive said Governor Oborevwori had distinguished himself as “the most performing governor in the country today,” adding that his achievements had surpassed previous administrations in the state.

He praised the governor’s courage, vision and passion for governance, noting that his developmental footprints were visible across Delta State. According to him, the legacies being built by the Oborevwori administration would outlive the present generation.

The federal lawmaker stated that Deltans were proud of the governor’s record, insisting that his performance speaks louder than political campaigns.

“He defines the next level every time. When you think he has defined it, he redefines it to a higher level,” Waive said, adding that the people of the state have never had it so good.

Waive also highlighted that Governor Oborevwori is scheduled to receive another honour from New Telegraph in Lagos, where he will be named Governor of the Year.

He recalled that the governor had recently been recognised by Vanguard Newspapers, noting that the series of awards underscores national acknowledgment of his good governance.

He expressed confidence that the recognitions would continue as long as the governor sustains his developmental strides, praying for God’s protection and strength upon him to take Delta State to greater heights.

Waive concluded that Deltans remain the ultimate beneficiaries of the administration’s impactful leadership and people-oriented policies.
