Venezuela Crisis: US Forces Capture President Maduro, Wife After ‘Large-Scale Strike’ – Trump
United States President Donald Trump on Saturday, announced that the United States has carried out a “large-scale strike” against Venezuela, capturing President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, and flying them out of the country.
BIGPEN NIGERIA (https://bigpengr.com) reports the operation was conducted in conjunction with US law enforcement on Friday.
Trump made the announcement on his Truth Social account, stating that details would follow and that a news conference would be held at Mar-a-Lago at 11 am.
The US had previously indicted Maduro in 2020 for his alleged role in international drug trafficking and had doubled the reward for information leading to his arrest to $50 million.
He said, “The United States of America has successfully carried out a large-scale strike against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolas Maduro, who has been, along with his wife, captured and flown out of the country.
“This operation was done in conjunction with U.S. Law Enforcement. Details to follow. There will be a News Conference today at 11 A.M., at Mar-a-Lago. Thank you for your attention to this matter.”
