BREAKING: Ohworode of Ancient Olomu Kingdom Joins Ancestors

HRM, Ovie Macaulay Popo Ovbagbedia, JP, Uhurhie-Osadjere II, the Ohworode of Olomu, has joined his ancestors.
The transition was announced by the Otota of the Ancient Olomu kingdom, Olorogun Albert Akpomudje, (SAN) at the palace of the monarch at Ovwor-Olomu community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, on Saturda.
He was flanked by Olomu traditional council of chiefs,and family members of the late monarch.
The traditional ruler ascend the throne on May 20, 2023
The announcement was heralded by Ema dancers herald with 21 cannon shots.
With the announcement, all markets in the kingdom remain closed, no burial and marriage celebration, as stores are only permitted to be open for partial transactions.
Also, as part of the mourning process, the kingdom has declared a one month mourning period with effects from July 12, to August 12, 2025 and all Olomu kingdom Chiefs are directed to wear ban on their left hands and not to put on the traditional Olomu Chieftancy red cap in honor of the late monarch.
A five minutes silence was observed in honor of the late Ohworode of Olomu kingdom.
