Succour For Otor-Igho, Ekiugbo-Iyede Communities As Isoko North Chairman Rehabilitates Water Supply Schemes

Succour came the way of residents of Otor-Igho community and Ekiugbo-Iyede community on Monday, as the chairman Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Godwin Ogorugba, finally unveiled the newly rehabilitated water supply scheme located in the area.
The projects embarked upon by the council are tailored to combat the spread of cholera outbreak through conterminated drinking water sources
Ogorugba emphasized that his initiative is to minimize the rate of spread of cholera through conterminated drinking water sources in rural communities within the local government which aligns with his administration goals to provide quality and accessible drinking water to every household in the local government.
According to the chairman, “This water Borehole project is powered by solar light which will make water available for my people through out the year and my administration will ensure that every community has access to quality drinking water in consolidating the MORE Agenda of His Excellency Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori Governor of Delta State” he added.
The Delta South Zonal Director of the Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs Mrs. Ewubare Pamela commended the council chairman for his laudable projects executed across Isoko North, saying “Mr. chairman we are proud of you and your wisdom of prudent resource management, indeed Isoko North is blessed to have you as their chairman,” she stated.
Present at the visit were, Thomas Akpoedafe supervisor for Agriculture and community development, Joshua Alebe, supervisor for environment, Oghenero Alakpodia Egwu supervisor for work, Mrs. Irene Onwondi , SA to the chairman, Erero Oloku, DOP to the chairman, Jude Ogwologho, Director of administration, Richard Anignoro and among others.
