Group Hails Delta Council Boss For Giant Developmental Strides Within 100 Days In Office

Concerned Ute-Okpu Elites, a socio-cultural organization in Delta State, has commended the Executive Chairman of Ika North East Local Government Council, Hon. Monday Odigwe for his giant developmental strides within his one hundred days in office.

Odigwe who is the functioning Secretary of the socio-cultural organization founded to promote the cultural norms, and social activities of Ute-Okpu Kingdom, received the commendation when he played host to them at his Office.

Speaking through it’s Chairman, Comrade Michael Ikeogwu, Concerned Ute-Okpu Elites, reiterated their earlier support to Hom. Odigwe’s administration, commending him for not letting them down within the period he has been on the saddle as the Executive Chairman, Ika North East Local Government Council.

Comrade Ikeogwu succinctly said that the hosting gave the group an ample opportunity to have clearer understanding of what Hon Odigwe has done since assumption of office, adding that he has demonstrated high level of uncommon commitment towards changing the narratives for the people of Ika North East and Deltans at large.

Hon. Ikeogwu while pledging the support of the group to Hon Odigwe’s administration, called on the people of Ika North East to give maximum support and cooperation to the council chairman to enable him have seamless sail in delivering the dividend of democracy to them.

In his remarks, Hon Monday Odigwe, expressed gratitude to members of Concerned Ute-Okpu Elites for giving him the opportunity of playing host to them, assuring members of his commitment to the group, just as he emphasized his determination to leave the council better than he met it.

Hon. Odigwe said he has embarked on numerous projects that are yet to be completed, noting that the projects will turn around the fortune of the people of the area by the time they were completed.

He outlined some of his achievements to include support to security agents including the vigilante groups which has remarkably improved security situation and intervention against the menace of kidnapers in the Local Government Area, repair of potholes on the road in Boji Boji Owa metropolis and opening of blocked drainages

He noted that one of the project dear to him is the building of a befitting administrative complex for the council which is ongoing, building of an ultramodern motor park at Ebu Owa market Boji Boji Owa, which according to him will bring sanity to transportation system and generate revenue for the council, clearing of the road by the railway line to give clearer view of commuters, amongst others.

Hon. Odigwe expressed gratitude to members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and citizens of Ika North East for their support, urging them not to relent in coming up with ideas that would move the council forward.
