Family of Pozi Tuwabor (nee Ogeh) says they are ‘Owners-Stakeholders’ of Pepeama Community in Warri South-West LGA of Delta State.

In a public notice endorsed by Madam Brass Piniki, Apostle Noah Douperegha Kemezide, Ebi Alakiri and Moses Mala, the family noted that Ogeh founded Pepeama originally called Oropele-uba which became his restricted fishing, farming and hunting domain.

The notice to the general public listed several other descendants of Pozi including but not limited to Barrister Mala, Bishop Amajene, Alex Oboko, Chief Jonathan Uti and a litany of others.

“Ogeh was usually joined by his wife, daughter Pozi and step-son Pepe on farming expeditions, before retiring back to Kunukunuma”, the statement noted.

“When Ogeh and his wife Amalagha died, his daughter Pozi and step-son Pepe, it was said, already had Ogeh’s permission to live on in Pepeama, before Pozi subsequently got married to Tuwabor of Igoba community in Gbaramatu Kingdom of Warri South-West LGA.

Ascribing merit to the Pozi Descendants narrative on Pepeama Ownership, the statement said the Gbaramatu King, Oboro Gbaraun II, Aketekpe, Agadagba in his judgment on 22 September 2022, directed that a separate Pozi Quarters be created in Pepeama to coexist, develop and share in its dividends with the two existing quarters. The verdict, the statement added was reaffirmed and agreed to by all parties on 9th November 2022.

“We hold that whoever intends to disagree with the King’s researched and well-intentioned verdict on the Pepeama Ownership issue will have to humbly present credible and superior evidence not yet presented, for a review. In the moment, all parties and the entire Kingdom should be seen to respect, strictly, the King’s verdict, in keeping with our known respect for our traditional authority”, the Pozi family noted.
