DELSU Announces Date For 15th Convocation Ceremony

The Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Nigeria, has announced date for her 15th convocation for the award of diplomas, first degrees, higher degrees, and prizes on Saturday, 29th April 2023.

A statement signed by Mrs. R. U. Ufiofio, Registrar & Secretary to the Governing Council of DELSU, said the Convocation is for all 2021/2022 graduands (Regular, Sandwich, SLT, Weekend, Part–time and Affiliates).

According to the statement, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Andy Ogochukwu Egwunyenga, is inviting all Graduands, Parents/Guardians, Stakeholders and the entire University Community to take part in the various Convocation activities.

Some of activities lined up for the convocation includes: Convocation Service which will hold at St. Paul’s Catholic Chaplaincy, DELSU, Abraka Time: 8:00am, on Sunday, 23rd April 2023.

The Vice Chancellor, is expected to hold a press conference at 750 ‘A’ Seating Capacity Hall, by 10:00am on Tuesday, 26th April 2023 while there will be a Novelty Match at the Sports Complex around 4:00pm-6:00pm.

The statement said there will be investiture of Alumni/Award at the 750A Seating capacity hall by 11.00am while convocation drama to hold at Arts Theatre Site III, Main Campus at 4:00pm-6:00pm on Thursday, 27th April 2023

Furthermore, the statement said Friday, 28th April 2023, there will be convocation lecture to be delivered by Professor B.E.B Nwoke, Professor of Public Health, Parasitology, and Entomology, Imo State University, Owerri on Saturday, 29th April 2023 while commissioning of Projects, Award of Diplomas, First Degrees, and Higher Degrees, Award of Prizes, will hold on Saturday, 29th April 2023, at the main convocation Arena at 9:00am.

The statement said that the Registrar, Mrs. R. U. Ufiofio, assured that the 15th Convocation ceremony of DELSU, Abraka, would be memorable and exciting and urged all members and friends of the University to attend as scheduled.
