We’re “Obi-dient,” we don’t take shi shi, we don’t give shi shi,” chanted the crowds of thousands of Mr. Peter Obi’s supporters who rallied around Warri, Delta state on Saturday.

According to www.bigpenngr.com, the supporters blocked off major streets in Asaba, the state capital, and caused severe traffic jams as they marched through the city on Independence Day.

Socioeconomic activities in Asaba and Warri came to a halt while supporters held a road walk to energise voters for the Obi-Datti ticket in the upcoming election.

According to reports, this is the first rally being held in Asaba by the “Obidient” Movement, an alliance of different Peter Obi support groups.

They gathered at the well-known Inter Bau Flyover at 9:00 am, travelled through West End and Nnebisi to the popular Ogbogonogo Market, and then returned to Inter Bau to disperse.

They sang and danced to music from different DJs without having a clear leader among the fervent followers, bringing in more people along the way.

They vowed to support the Labour Party and Mr. Obi as its presidential candidate in the election of 2023 in order for the country to advance.

Tens of thousands of Obi’s supporters in Warri marched through the city while primarily donning the nation’s colours, green, white, and green, from the DSC roundabout to the Warri stadium, where they spoke to the crowd about Obi’s presidential aspirations.

Insisting that “A new Nigeria is Possible” with strong leadership that will take office in 2023 with Peter Obi as President, the supporters marched through the popular Effurun Roundabout while singing solidarity songs and sporadically chanting, “We don’t take shi shi, we don’t give shi shi.”

The supporters who organised the roadshow under the auspices of the Delta State Alliance for Peter Obi Movement carried some placards with the slogans “We need Nigeria refining her own crude oil and producing her own products.”

“We say no to insecurity, corruption, and the ASUU strike,” “Employing Graduates and not turning them into Keke/Okada riders,” “Nigeria must celebrate education as key to economic development,” and “A vote for Peter Obi is a vote for better Nigeria.”
