BREAKING: Tension, Panic In Abuja As Terrorists Bomb Kuje Prison

Palpable tension and panic have gripped residents of Abuja as gunmen suspected to be terrorists on Tuesday night invaded the Kuje Medium Prison.

Multiple sources told www.bigpenngr.com that the correctional facility came under heavy bombardments by the purportedly unknown terrorists.

The facility is known for holding high-profile condemned criminals, suspects including governors and ministers under trial.

Sources said that multiple explosions went off simultaneously triggering fear and panic among residents in the council area.

According to report in Daily Sun, “The first explosion, a high capacity bomb, went off around 10.25pm.

“It was followed by second and third blast and sporadic gunshots that left the residents scampering into safety.

“Few hours earlier, security report had alerted the prison officials of possible attacks of the medium prison.

“A prison staff, who confirmed the attack in a chat with Daily Sun, explained that the attackers had come from the back of the prison yard”.
