Ex-Nigeria International, Omagufi Emerges As Isoko Youth Group’s President

A former Nigeria Super Eagles International, Onoriode Omagufi, has emerged as President of Isoko Youth Assembly (IYA) worldwide, a corporate affairs commission registered youth group in Delta State.

BIGPENNGR reports that Omagufi was elected in a well supervised election which saw the emergence of 13 others voted into various offices.

Omagufi, an ex-Super Eagles striker and founding father of Isoko Development Union (IDU) in Ireland emerged as the first president of the youth group with 73 votes against his opponent who got 16 votes.

The election held at the Olomoro civic center in Isoko South LGA of Delta State had voters drawn from the 19-clans that made up Isoko ethnic nationality in the state.

The election which started with accreditation of delegates and aspirants recorded 89 eligible voters who queued behind their preferred candidates.

The election result was declared by the chairman of the electoral committee, Comrade Emmanuel Edefa Owhe, flanked by the outgoing interim President, Comr. Charles Mukoro and committee secretary, Comr. Lucky Useh.

Other elected include; Comr. Raphael Omonotomo (1st vice president), Comr. Matthew Olomu (2nd vice president), Comr. Eloghene Akose (Secretary General), Comr. Iruoghene Akpomedae (Assist. Secretary General), Comr. Moses Anewoka (Financial Secretary), Comr. Idehen Dorcas (Treasurer), Comr. Rebuke Monday (Speaker), Comr. Stanley Idudu (PRO), Comr. Ajirioghene Osayerie (Organizing Secretary) Barr. Evakohor Napoleon (Legal Adviser), Comr. Insight Oghenebrozie (Women Leader) and Comr. Matthew Ogagaoghene (Provost).

Meanwhile, a founding father of the IYA and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Comr. Paul Agbama, has officially appointed Comr. Charles Mukoro, Comr. Emmanuel Owhe and Comr. Lucky Useh as patrons of the youth group for their outstanding contribution to the growth of the non-government organization in Isokoland.
