Igboho’s Whereabouts Shrouded In Mystery As Gunmen Raid His Home, Reportedly Killed 5 Persons, Cat

The whereabouts of a popular Yoruba activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, fondly called Sunday Igboho, has been shrouded in mystery hours after gunmen in military uniform invaded his residence, reportedly killing at least five persons and several wide cats.

BIGPENNGR understands Igboho’ home was attacked at Soka community in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The gunmen reportedly stormed the residence with at least eight fully loaded hilux vehicles at about 1am and operated freely till about 3:30am before they left.

Some of them allegedly wore the uniform of personnel of the Department of State Security (DSS).

By the time the dust raised by the attack calmed down, blood stains of the persons apparently killed during the raid littered the premises.

Also, wide cat was found dead alongside used bullets within the premises.

Impacts of the bullets were also seen on the giant pillars and wall of the building.

One source said “Igboho, as gathered, was around when the gunmen arrived.

“They reportedly shot sporadically on arrival and the efforts put up by his guards did not hold any water as they we’re overpowered by the gunmen.

“They gain entry into the premises and immediately they searched for Igboho from one room to the other. They destroyed a lot of items in the house and also scattered the house.

According to sources within the house, the gunmen did not know how Igboho escaped, adding that when they could not find Igboho, the woman that led the operation said all the cats in the house should be packed. The woman, according to witnesses, spoke Yoruba fluently.

It was further gathered that the gunmen went away with the corpses of ten, five persons that were killed. The gunmen also abducted some female and male associates of Igboho, as well as their children.

One of the persons that were abducted is simply identified as “Lady K” and he was picked up while on live video at the residence of Igboho during the incident.

It was discovered that Igboho’s bedroom was ransacked and all the money and other personal effects were carted away.

One of the eyewitnesses also said:before “At time, they thought Igboho was hiding under the roof of the house, they ransacked the roof. They also thought Igboho has transformed into a cat.”

The cars parked at his premises were also vandalised.

The Police Public Relations Officer for the state, Adewale Osifeso, could not be reached on his phone. He did not pick calls made to his mobile phone and he did not also respond to a text message sent to him.
