Delta Records Five New COVID-19 Cases, Discharged Three Patients

The Delta State Government has confirmed five new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) reported from two local government councils in the state, bringing a total of 22 cases across the state.

BIGPEN reports that the state government had earlier today, Wednesday, discharged three patients treated successfully at the state isolation centres.

State Commissioner for Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu made the confirmation in two separate infographic and subsequent post made on his verified Facebook page this night.

According to him, of the five new cases, four came from Warri South and one from Oshimili North councils respectively.

From the infographic released by the Commissioner, the State also today discharged three successfully managed cases – one each from Ughelli South, Udu and Uvwie Councils respectively.

So far, Delta now has a total of 22 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 13 active cases, 6 discharged and 3 deaths.
