Okowa’s Pre-election Projects Not A Ruse – Delta Professionals

Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria (APBN), Delta State Chapter says development strides of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa before 2019 polls was not window dressing, just as it requested for Special Adviser on professional bodies to interface with/advice government.
“We had thought that the increased projects just before the 2019 polls were to get votes after which the administration would go to sleep, but we were proved wrong as work is still seriously going on. We are here to congratulate the governor and his deputy”, said Barr. John Aikpokpor-Martins, Delta State chairman of APBN who led body on courtesy call on the Deputy Governor, Deacon Kingsley Otuaro, weekend.
The APBN comprises 16 professional bodies including that of lawyers (NBA), Engineers (NSE), Medical Doctors (NMA), Accountants (ICAN), etc.
The Deputy Governor, who thanked the professional body for their contributions to the re-election of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, stated: “This administration came with a vision that was vigorously pursued. Thank you for thanking us for the mark we have been able to accomplish in infrastructure development.
“Without your support, it would have been impossible to come this far. The Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa-led administration has promised to do more. We crave your continued solidarity and support of all Deltans in the march towards a stronger Delta”, Otuaro was quoted to have said.
“On your Special Adviser request, government will look into it so as to better the relationship. We’ll also consider your desire to be on the protocol list of the state”, Otuaro assured.
