Henry Okah, the pressumed leader of outlawed Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta (MEND) has filed a fresh lawsuit challenging his conviction in South Africa.

BIGPEN Online learnt that an appeal filed by Okah’s lawyer has already been fixed for July 29th,  2019 for hearing.

Social media commentor and anti-corruption crusader, Kayode Ogundamasi wrote about it in his tweet handle @ogundamasi on Monday.

Okah who was sentenced to a 24 year imprisonment for series of terror attacks in Nigeria nine years ago had overtime denied the twin bomb blast of which he was charged with allegations of terror attacks.

Reports say his Lawyers, who are permanent resident of South Africa since 2007, had argued it was outside the country’s legal jurisdiction to put him on trial.

Okah was jailed in 2013 for masterminding a number of attacks, including twin bombings which killed 12 people in Abuja, the nation’s capital during independence day celebrations in 2010.
