Chevron Flow Station Shut Down In Delta

A flow station belonging to Chevron Nigeria Limited has been reportedly shut down in Kokodiagbene, Delta state.

BIGPEN Online learned that the oil facility named Chevron Otunana flow station was shut down on Wednesday by local youths to prod Chevron’s management to act on their week-long protest.

The residents are demanding that Chevron should light up their community as their yard are lighted 24 hours and also provide them with portable drinking water as well as hospital facility.

Chevron management had been overtime accused of insensitivity to the plight of local residents in Ijaw and Itsekiri riverine communities in Warri South West Local Government Area of the state.

Kokodiagbene is an Ijaw community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area of the state.

Recall that Ugborodo community had few weeks ago embarked on similar protest in which Chevron operations was also crippled for week-long.
