Delta Assembly Screens Okowa’s Commissioner Nominees, Others
The Delta State House of Assembly on Thursday screened and confirmed two commissioner nominees forwarded to it by the state Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, BigPen Online has learnt.
Speaker of the House, RT. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori who presided over the planery mentioned the commissioner nominees as Julius Takeme and Freeman Orits Fregene.
The House also screened and confirmed
Mofe Pirah, Talib Tebite, Ejaife Odebala and Samuel Ochonogor Ossai as members of Governing Board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC).
In the same vien, the Assembly also confirmed Kelly Oghenekevwe as member of the Board of Delta State Board of Internal Revenue.
Meanwhile, the member representing Burutu II constituency, Kennedy Daubry has been suspended for three months for reportedly bring the House to disrepute through his recent conduct.
The Assembly also moved a motion of matter of urgent importance calling on the Governor to prevail on NAMA to lift suspension on Air traffic services at the Osubi airport.
