A Special Assistant to the governor of Delta State on Political Matters, Barr. Cletus Uwakina has that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa is unbeatable in the forthcoming governorship contest in the state.

Uwakina, who spoke while addressing community youths in Otolokpo, Ika North East Area of Delta State, said that “Federal Might” is unknown and would not work in Delta State.

He called on Deltans to remain loyal to Dr. Okowa as the maximum leader in the state.

Uwakina, told the people that the governor’s track record in the state speaks volume and is more than sufficient to return him back to government house in 2019.

He called on the people to ignore the propaganda of lazy and inept politicians from the opposition party that APC will take Delta State with ‘Federal might’.

The governor’s aide assured the people that PDP is on ground and well rooted in Delta State and no Federal might can uproot it.

He said that those touting the potency of Federal might in the incoming election has failed already citing Osun state elections as an example.

His words: “the Osun scenario is still very fresh in our memory. In that election, just two days ago Federal might was disgraced by the PDP.

“Infact the Osun election was a combination of both federal and State might, because APC used to be in charge of that state, yet PDP gave them the disgrace of the century. It is clear to all and sundry that PDP won that election and Will still win at the re-run election. If PDP can win election where  we have no governor, what about Delta where we have every thing”.

He called on the people to remain consistent and resolute to return PDP in all elections in Delta State as Delta state is PDP stronghold

Uwakina emphasized that for the governor to succeed in the next dispensation, he needs people to work with him and therefore, they must ensure that PDP candidates are returned in all the elections.

He told the people to continue their support for the candidacy of Hon. Anthony Elekeokwuri  and that of Hon. Victor Nwokoro as both men are needed to help the governor succeed in his second term.
