“Dancing” Senator Adeleke Wins Osun PDP Governorship Primary

Ademola Adeleke, the Osun West senator renowned for his dance moves, has won the governorship primary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State.
Governor of Bayelsa State, Seriake Dickson who chaired the committee overseeing the electoral process, announced that Adeleke won the primary with 1, 569 votes.
Adeleke wins with the slimmest margin in recent times as his main rival, Akin Ogunbiyi polled 1,559 votes.
Fatai Akingbade placed third with 52 votes, while Nathaniel Oke made up the rear with three votes.
The primary election was held at the GMT Hotel and Event Centre along Ring Road in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
Adeleke would now slug it out with Gboyega Oyetola, who emerged candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday, last week.
