Akpabio Officially Bids PDP Goodbye, Joins APC

Senator Godswill Akpabio, has officially dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The former governor was officially received today, Wednesday, August 8 at the Ikot-Ekpene township stadium in Akwa Ibom.

His defection has been in the news for close to a week now.

National Chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomhole; Senate majority leader, Ahmed Lawan; national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; and Nigeria’s minister of information and culture, Ahaji Lai Mohammed were among those who received him into the APC fold.
