The session of the House of Representatives on Thursday became rowdy as members disagreed over the declaration of June 12 as new Democracy Day by President Muhammadu Buhari, TheEagle Online is reporting.

While some feel the President was right and has the power to so declare the June 12 as Democracy Day, others are of the view that he does not.

The election, won by late Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, was annulled by the regime of Military President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.
