Bandits Strike Gorau Again, Kill Four, Abduct Four Days After Boat Tragedy

Fresh tragedy has hit Gorau village in Goronyo Local Government Area of Sokoto State after armed bandits invaded the community, killing four residents, shooting seven others and abducting four people.

The attack, which occurred on Wednesday, came only days after a devastating boat accident at the Gorau crossing point reportedly claimed the lives of 65 passengers, including women and children.

Residents said the attackers stormed the community and opened fire, sending residents fleeing in panic. Four people were killed, while seven others sustained gunshot injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.
