APC Fixes Presidential Primary for May 16, Governorship May 23
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections.
It announced May 15 and 16 as dates for the conduct of presidential primary while governorship is slated for May 23.
This is contained in the Schedule of Activities signed by the Party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, and released by National Publicity Secretary of the party, Felix Morka,
According to the statement, the timetable outlines, among other activities, timelines for screening, appeals, and primary elections, as well as directives on the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms.

The statement said, aspirants for the House of Assembly will pay N6 million, while those vying for the House of Representatives and Senate will pay N10 million N20 million respectively.
Morka said, governorship aspirants will cough out N50 million and presidential N100 million.
He further noted in the statement that the duration for the sale and submission of the expression of interest and nomination forms will be from April 25 to May 4, just as the primaries to pick its governorship candidates will take place on Saturday May 23 across the states.
The APC reassured members, stakeholders, and Nigerians of its commitment to conducting a credible and transparent primary election that will further strengthen the Party’s internal democracy and consolidate its progressive ideals.
