Delta Commissioner Hails Obakpor Engineering’s Contribution To Infrastructure Development

Mr. Reuben Izeze, the Delta State Commissioner for Works (Highways and Urban Roads),has commended Obakpor Engineering’s significant contributions to road and bridge construction in the state.

Izeze gave the commendation in a recent inspection of road projects, in the state.

Speaking, Obakpor Engineering’s Chairman, Olorogu John Oguma,reiterated the firm’s dedication to providing top-notch roads and bridges.

He assured Delta State residents of their ongoing commitment to excellence and stated that the company would persist in investing in superior equipment and machinery to ensure the best outcomes for the state’s government and residents.

Obakpor Engineering’s Managing Director, Mr. Ricardo Oguma, underscored the company’s status as a prominent construction firm in the state. He vowed to uphold the high standard in delivering quality projects, particularly the Ughelli project, which he assured would be finished within a year.

He also applauded the Delta State government for its backing of local engineering firm participating in these projects.

Senikwe Oghenerume, the Ministry’s Engineer in charge of the projects, provided a progress report, indicating that side drains and earthwork had been finished in most parts. “The subsequent stages would involve the reinforcement of ironwork, stone base, and asphalt laying”, he said.

In their response, residents expressed their appreciation to the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for his involvement in the road projects.

They believe that these enhancements will considerably improve their socio-economic status, given the previous road problems that had negatively affected the region’s economic activities.

In the same vien, Abraka residents demonstrated great confidence in the Local Construction Company, considering it among the state’s top indigenous firms.

Several individuals took the chance to express gratitude to the state government for approving contracts to mend the old road, enhancing travel conditions for those using the Agbor to Eku and Sapele route, while expressing disappointment over the substandard condition of the Federal Road.
