Delta’s Political Actors, Others Connect At Olu Of Warri Anniversary Thanksgiving

It was a gathering of who-is-who from all walks of life including key political actors in Delta state as Olu of Warri first coronation anniversary climaxed with a church thanksgiving service on Sunday.

Among prominent key players in Delta politicis present was the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege; Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa; a former governor of the state, Chief James Ibori; Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan who was represented by his wife, Mrs. Roli Uduaghan.

 

Others are Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Chief Sheriff Oborevwori, Senator James Manager, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi; Chief Great Ogboru and the Social Democratic Party (SDP) presidential candidate, Mr. Adewale Adebayo and former Police Affair minister, Chief Roland Oritsejafor.

The Dein of Agbor Kingdom, HRM, Dr. Benjamin Ikenchukwu Keagborekuzi l, as well as Emir of Kano were also among dignitaries who honoured the monarch.

Former President of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, who ministered at the service, stressed the need for thanksgiving, quoting from various bible verses noting that it is in appreciation of God’s mercies for favours he has done to mankind.

“Thanksgiving opens the gate for more blessings; it brings you into the presence of God for divine favour through which God flavours our labour.

“If you are not grateful, you will become a great fool. We must learn to emphasise the importance of thanksgiving in our daily life,” Pastor Oritsejafor added.

Pastor Oritsejafor expressed confidence that Warri kingdom and Ode Itsekiri in particular will transform into the Dubai of Nigeria and urged the people not to lose hope.

Highlight of the Thanksgiving is the prayers for Olu of Warri by Chief Brown Mene; Warri kingdom by Rev. Wilson Ofoluwafor and Delta State/Nigeria by Rev. E. A. Gbiaye.

 

Chief Roland Oritsejafor, who gave a vote of thanks, expressed appreciation to the guests, well-wishers and the Itsekiris for turning out enmass for the celebration of the anniversary of the monarch.
