Court Renews Giadom’s Order To Act As APC National Chairman

A High Court sitting in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has reaffirmed and extended its order that Chief Victor Giadom, should act as National Chairman of the APC following the Appeal Court’s approval of the suspension of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole from the party and office.
According to the court papers, Comrade Mustapha Salihu, the party’s National Vice Chairman (North East), is also ordered by the High Court to act as Acting National Secretary pending the conveying of a National Executive Committee meeting of the APC.
The court extended the order for two weeks in a ruling it gave upon listening to the prayer of Wale Afolabi, Counsel to Giadom, to extend the order it gave on the 16th of March.
It reaffirmed an interim order granting him approval to continue being the National Chairman to act in Acting capacity, pending the hearing and determination of the Motion on notice or till the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party decides.
The court also restrained the APC or any other member of the party from disturbing Giadom from functioning as the party’s Acting National Chairman.
Giadom is the party’s Deputy National Secretary and highest ranking official following the ruling of the Court of Appeal which upheld Oshiomhole’s suspension and declared all his actions since his suspension null and void.
