BREAKING: With 17 Deaths, 409 New Cases, COVID-19 Spikes In Nigeria

With additional 409 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, Nigeria tally for the deadly virus has rose to 13, 873 confirmed cases nationwide.

Announcing the figures via its website, Niger Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said that 17 deaths were recorded in the country in the data released Wednesday night.

Only Lagos has 201 of the total 409 new cases, FCT also recorded a surge following by Delta which has additional 22 cases.

According to NCDC, so far, Nigeria has 13,873 cases, 4,351 recoveries and 382 deaths recorded in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The 409 new cases are reported from 16 states.

The break down is as follows:- Lagos (201), FCT (85), Delta (22), Edo (16), Nasarawa (14), Borno (14), Kaduna (14), Bauchi (10), Rivers (9), Enugu (5), Kano (5), Ogun (4), Ondo (4), Baylesa (2), Kebbi (2), Plateau (2)
