Tinubu Receives Re-Elected Adeleke at Aso Rock, First Meeting Since Osun Victory

Published

on

President Bola Tinubu is currently meeting with Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Adeleke arrived at the forecourt of the Villa at exactly 5:25 pm on Thursday, dressed in a navy blue traditional outfit and carrying a walking stick. He arrived in a black Toyota Land Cruiser SUV alongside the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.

The meeting marks Adeleke’s first official engagement with President Tinubu since his re-election in last Saturday’s Osun State governorship election.

Tinubu had earlier personally called Adeleke to congratulate him on his victory, describing the outcome as “a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in our country.”

The President also urged the governor to unite the people of Osun State, regardless of their political affiliations or choices during the election.

Several members of Adeleke’s team were also seen arriving at the Presidential Villa around 5:40 pm.
