Former Governor of Sokoto State and Senator representing Sokoto South, Aminu Tambuwal, has congratulated Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on his re-election, describing the outcome as a victory for democracy and the people of the state.

Tambuwal, in a congratulatory message shared on his X account on Sunday, said Adeleke’s renewed mandate demonstrated the power of the electorate to freely choose their leaders through the ballot.

He said the victory was not only a personal triumph for Adeleke but also a reflection of the will of Osun voters who exercised their constitutional right to determine who governs them.

According to Tambuwal, the ballot remains one of the strongest instruments through which citizens express their will in a democratic system.

He stressed that respecting voters’ choices was critical to strengthening democratic institutions and restoring public confidence in the electoral process.

Tambuwal also commended the people of Osun State for their participation in the election and commitment to democracy, while congratulating Adeleke on securing another term in office.

He encouraged the governor to use his fresh mandate to advance the welfare and interests of the people of Osun State.

“Congratulations, Your Excellency. Congratulations to the people of Osun State. Democracy has won,” Tambuwal said.
