Fake Agency Saga: No Evidence Links Gbajabiamila to Alleged Fraud, Analyst Insists

A Nigerian socio-political analyst, Mr. Urhobo Atsemudiara, has defended the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, saying there is no credible evidence connecting him to the ongoing controversy surrounding the alleged fake agency scandal.

Speaking in Lagos on Monday, Atsemudiara cautioned against trial by public opinion, stressing that discussions on the matter should be guided by verified facts rather than speculation or social media narratives.

According to him, no investigation has so far produced evidence linking Gbajabiamila to the alleged activities, urging Nigerians to allow security and investigative agencies to complete their work before drawing conclusions.

He argued that the exposure of the alleged fake agency reflects the Tinubu administration’s determination to dismantle entrenched networks that have allegedly undermined governance over the years.

“The Tinubu administration, through this fake agency exposure, is clearly confronting the same secret cabal forces that challenged previous governments. These are the same elements that have contributed to the Federal Government’s inability to fully benefit from the vast mineral resources in Northern Nigeria due to insecurity and banditry,” Atsemudiara said.

The analyst maintained that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is confronting deeply rooted interests that have long hampered Nigeria’s economic growth and governance.

“One thing many Nigerians have not noticed is that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is fighting for the best interests of the country, and only a President like him can confront this kind of battle,” he added.

Atsemudiara emphasized that allegations should not be mistaken for proof of guilt, noting that every individual is entitled to due process under the law.

He called on Nigerians to refrain from condemning public officials before competent authorities conclude their investigations and make their findings public.

According to him, accountability must be based on credible evidence rather than assumptions, rumours, or unverified claims circulating online.

Vanguard reports that he also urged greater public confidence in investigative institutions, warning that premature judgments could undermine efforts to uncover the truth behind the alleged fake agency saga.

While the controversy continues to generate nationwide debate and differing opinions, Atsemudiara insisted that no one, including Gbajabiamila, should be deemed culpable until investigations establish any wrongdoing.

He added that the priority should remain on uncovering the facts, ensuring anyone found guilty faces prosecution in accordance with the law, while those not implicated should be cleared of unfounded allegations.
