‎Gov Makinde On Abduction: Rescue Efforts Non-Stop Until Victims Freed

Governor Seyi Makinde has reassured residents of Oyo State that the pupils and teachers abducted on May 16 from schools in Oriire Local Government Area will soon regain freedom.

‎This statement was disclosed on Wednesday evening at his Ikolaba residence while hosting his deputy, Bayo Lawal, alongside other Muslim appointees ahead of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

‎According to the statement, Makinde said “We’re working around the clock to ensure the abd¥cted children are united with their families.”

“I pray that God Almighty console those in despair at their point of need.” Makinde Said 

‎Makinde further urged residents to remain tolerant as the political season approaches, stressing that religion and ethnicity should not be used to divide the state.
