Manroy Global Partners with Warri NUJ Chapel to Strengthen Media Coverage

Warri-based company, Manroy Global Services Limited, has established a strategic partnership with the Warri Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) to improve media engagement and support pipeline surveillance operations in the region.

The partnership was formalized during a meeting led by Mr. Michael Taniohwo, the Managing Director and CEO of Manroy Global, who was accompanied by senior management staff.

They engaged with the newly elected leadership of the NUJ Warri Chapel, emphasizing mutual cooperation.

Comrade Akpokona Omafuaire, the newly inaugurated Chairman of the NUJ Warri Chapel, who led the delegation to the
company yard, explained that the visit was part of the union’s tradition of introducing its new leadership to key stakeholders in the community.

He said that the chapel’s members represent various national newspapers and media outlets across Nigeria.

Omafuaire stressed the importance of building partnerships to strengthen journalism professionalism, information dissemination, and community development.

He also called for collaboration in capacity building, internet support, transportation, and welfare initiatives for journalists.

The chairman underscored the need for continuous training, especially in emerging areas like Artificial Intelligence, to keep pace with the rapidly evolving media landscape.

In response, Mr. Taniohwo expressed the company’s commitment to social responsibility and community development.

He assured the NUJ delegation that Manroy Global is eager to work closely with the union and encouraged the chapel to submit specific requests for support, which will be carefully considered.

He emphasized that the company’s goal is to foster a mutually beneficial relationship that promotes societal growth through media collaboration.

Sylver Ofugara, a director of Manroy Global Services, also spoke at the meeting.

He commended the dedication of journalists in informing the public and promoting development.

Ofugara highlighted the company’s ongoing community projects, including donations of transformers to local communities, educational support, and medical outreach programs.

He shared a success story about sponsoring a surgery that restored a man’s sight, allowing him to resume work.

Ofugara reaffirmed the company’s willingness to partner with the Warri NUJ Chapel to enhance the productivity and welfare of journalists, emphasizing the value of collaboration and social responsibility.

The meeting ended with a group photograph of the management team and NUJ members, symbolizing a new era of cooperation.
