Fubara Dissolves EXCO Amid Political Reconciliation Post-Meeting with Tinubu, Wike

In a move seen as a strategic step towards reshaping governance in Rivers State, Governor Siminalayi Fubara has officially dissolved the State Executive Council.

The governor expressed sincere appreciation to all outgoing commissioners and special advisers for their service and contribution to the state’s development.

Fubara directed all commissioners and advisers to immediately hand over their responsibilities to the most senior officers or permanent secretaries in their respective ministries.

“This transition is aimed at repositioning our administration for better service delivery and aligning with the broader political and developmental goals of the state,” he stated.

This development comes barely few days after a high-profile meeting involving President Bola Tinubu, Rivers State Governor Fubara, and FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.

Political analysts see the dissolution of the executive council as part of Fubara’s efforts to consolidate his administration’s direction, possibly preparing ground for upcoming elections and policy reforms.

The move also signals active political recalibration following recent discussions at the federal level aimed at fostering stability in the state.

The governor wished the outgoing officials well in their future endeavors, emphasizing that their contributions would be remembered and valued as the state moves forward.
