Isoko North Boss, Ogorugba Charges PDP Leaders To Foster Sense Of Belonging Among Party Members

Chairman of Isoko North local government council, Hon. Godwin Ogorugba, has urged leaders and officials of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to show kindness and support to party members across the local government.
The chairman gave the charge at an enlarged Isoko North PDP stakeholders’ meeting,held at party Secretariat in Ozoro, Isoko North Local government Area, Delta State.
He emphasized that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference in fostering a sense of belonging among party faithful and strengthening the party’s unity.
“There is need to always extend hands of kindness in order to carry them along and feel sense of belongings, by doing so, you are automatically making the ground smooth for our amiable governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori’s re-election in 2027”, he added.
The council chairman encouraged leaders to verify information before acting on it to prevent the spread of misinformation and rumor-mongering.
“Many people have the habit of moving from one office to another or from house to house, carrying fake news or propaganda in order to gain favour.
“As a leader if such person comes to you and say anything about any leader or person, just tell the person wait let me call him/her to verify what you are telling me” by doing so, rumour mongers will be drastically reduced”, he maintained.
He also stressed the importance of regular party dues payment by all the Councillors and other political appointees for effective running of the party in the local government and promised to facilitate regular meetings of the Isoko North PDP Elder’s council.
The Chairman also urged all the leaders and party faithfuls to be more united in order to make the party more formidable in the local government.
The meeting concluded with a unanimous vote of confidence in Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and other key party officials and leaders.
Member representing Isoko federal Constituency, Hon Jonathan Ukodhiko; Member representing Isoko North state Assembly, Barr. Bernard Odior Chairman Isoko-North Council Hon (Elder) Prince Godwin Ogorugba, Commissioner for Health Dr Joseph Onojaeme, Executive Director finance and administration, Chief Kome Okpobor, were commended by the meeting.
The motion for vote of confidence and commendation was moved by Hon. Daniel tutumor SSA to the governor and seconded by Hon. Pascal Emeluaha leader Isoko North legislative arm and was unanimously adopted.
Others who spoke at the meeting include; Hon. Engr Jonathan Ukodhiko member representing Isoko federal Constituency, Hon. Bernard Odior member representing Isoko North State Assembly, Dr. Joseph Onojaeme, commissioner for Health, Hon. Emmanuel Egbabor, PDP state organizing secretary, Dr. Goodnews Agbi Special Adviser to the governor on Project Monitoring and Audit, Dr. Paul Oweh, chairman Delta State hospital management board, Mr. Bernard Idisi PDP Chairman Isoko-North chapter among others

Ovie Umuakpo, Executive Assistant, Mr. Felix Ofuo, Executive Assistant, Hon. Jonathan Umukoro JP, Ex-Official State, Sir. Vote Umukoro ESQ, Secretary to Isoko North Council.
