Delta Trust Mortgage Bank Undergoes Transformation Under Ogbimi’s Chairmanship

Ogbimi’s vision is to make Delta Trust Mortgage Bank a prominent financial institution in Delta State, capitalizing on its unique position as the only state-owned mortgage bank in the South-South and South-East regions.
To achieve this, he’s been meeting with local government leaders, including the chairmen of Okpe and Uvwie Local Government Areas, to encourage partnerships and leverage the bank’s enhanced role in infrastructural development.

The bank offers various services, including National Housing Fund loans and Retirement Savings Accounts, designed to benefit civil servants, councillors, and local residents. Ogbimi aims to replicate a successful model established in Burutu Local Government Area across the state, aligning with the governor’s MORE Agenda to promote meaningful development and opportunities.
Hon. Ogbimi, accompanied by the bank’s Executive Director, Barrister Joshua Muhwen, recently conducted visits to the Chairmen of Okpe and Uvwie Local Government Areas.
The purpose of these visits was to inform the local governments about the bank’s enhanced role and to encourage them to leverage the autonomy recently granted to them by partnering with Delta Trust Mortgage Bank.
Ogbimi emphasized the importance of this collaboration for infrastructural development within the councils. He highlighted the bank’s offerings, including National Housing Fund (NHF) loans and Retirement Savings Accounts (RSA), which are aimed at benefiting civil servants, councillors, and local residents.
“These initiatives are designed to align with His Excellency’s MORE Agenda, promoting meaningful development and creating opportunities across the state,” Ogbimi stated. He drew attention to a successful model already established in Burutu Local Government Area, which he hopes to replicate throughout the state.
Under Ogbimi’s leadership, the board’s vision is to make Delta Trust Mortgage Bank a prominent financial institution throughout Delta State. He stressed that the bank is capitalizing on extensive opportunities available in the market, being the only state-owned mortgage bank in the South-South and South-East regions.
