‘Your Vision Ignites Fire Of Progress’ – Joshua MacIver Eulogies ex-Gov Sylva At 60

Deputy governorship candidate in the 2023 gubernatorial elections in Bayelsa State, Great Joshua MacIver, has paid glowing tribute to former Minister of Petroleum Resources and APC 2023 governorship candidate, Chief Timipre Sylva on his 60th birthday anniversary.

Maclver, in a statement he personally signed, eulogised Sylva, a former governor of the state (from 2007 to 2012) for his leadership and vision for Bayelsa State and the Niger Delta region.

“His Excellency, my beloved Leader, Chief Timipre Marlin Sylva, De OPUABADI, I warmly celebrate your 60th birthday and honour your remarkable leadership and vision. Your resourcefulness and unwavering dedication are a testament to God’s guidance and Grace in your life, “MacIver said in the statement.

MacIver who ran the last election as deputy governorship candidate alongside the former Minister, highlighted Sylva’s achievements during his tenure as governor, including his passion for empowering youths and raising young leaders, infrastructural development, economic growth, and the successful implementation of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.

He said that Sylva earned widespread respect and admiration from Bayelsain with the numerous developmental stride during his tenure including midwifing the Amnesty Programme which provided thousands of beneficiaries with tertiary education, skilled training, monthly stipends, and ultimately restored peace and security to the Niger Delta region, as well as revitalizing the oil and gas industry and promoting economic development in the country.

“Your leadership and mentorship have been instrumental in my growth and development, and I am eager to continue learning from you,” MacIver said.

“Your vision is like a spark that ignites the fire of progress, and your dedication is the fuel that keeps it burning bright”, he added.

MacIver expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve alongside Sylva and salutes his commitment to developing future leaders. “I am honoured to be a beneficiary of your wisdom and experience.

“I remain deeply indebted to you for believing in me and providing guidance and support throughout this journey”, he said.

MacIver, said that as Sylva marks his 60th birthday, the people of Bayelsa State are eagerly awaiting his return to office to usher in a new era of progress. “Here’s to many more years of wisdom, impact, and celebration. Congratulations and Happy 60th Birthday once again to my beloved Leader,” he said.
