Oil Theft War: ‘Tompolo Has Made Nigeria Proud’ – APC’s National Youth Wing
The Youth Wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC), says High Chief Dr. Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has made the country proud by helping the government secure the Nation’s oil pipelines.
Leadership of the National Youth Wing of the party comprising of the National Officers of the Party, the Zonal Officers, State Youth Leaders, and ward level stated this at Oporoza, Warri South-West local government area when a high-powered delegation visited him at the weekend.
The party’s youth group commended Tompolo for protecting the nation’s crude oil and empowering youths in the Niger Delta in particular and Nigeria in general.
They used the opportunity to pledge their loyalty and presented an awards of excellence to him.
They said that they decided to give the awards to Tompolo based on the services rendered through his organization, Tantita Security Services to the nation by protecting crude oil against theft and vandalism.
The group also recognized him for not just empowering the youths in the Ijaw nation but Niger Delta and Nigeria as a whole.
Speaking, Hon. Jamaluddeen Kabir said, “We recognised him based on the fact that he is empowering the youths, not just Ijaw Nation but all over the country. We’re living testimony of this.
“We, therefore expect him to continue to support the youths and partner
with APC’ Youth Wing down to the grassroots.”
On his part, APC Southwest Youth Leader, Comrade Lawal Paff said that Tompolo has made the country proud by helping the government secure the pipelines, the action that has improved internally generated revenue.
He therefore called on the youths to take advantage of this to partner with the Tompolo’s security outfit in improving Nigeria’s oil production.
Part of his words, “I am calling on our youths to take advantage of what Tompolo is doing and work with him to make the country great. Always think of what you can do for Nigeria, and as a nation and not what Nigeria can do for them”.
In his response, Tompolo thanked the group for the awards and urged youths to work with Mr. President, Bola Tinubu in salvaging the country.
His words: “I thank all of you very much for leaving your various places and travelling all the way to Oporoza here, It’s not an easy task. I believe you would have read in different newspapers that Tompolo is fighting illegal bunkering. Yes, the Crude Oil is the only source of survival in this country and 90 percent of our people, in one way or the other, are involved in the illegal bunkering.
“So, I admonish our people, especially the youths wing to stand firm with Mr. President and join those who are doing the right thing to salvage our country.”
