The family of late Sylvester Oromoni Jr., has called on Nigerians to unite in prayer with them as the long-awaited findings of the investigation into the untimely death of the Dowen College Student, is expected to be made public on Monday, April 15, 2024.

In a terse message, on Thursday, the family says they are anxious to know the outcome of the inquest after over two years of public outcry and demands for transparency on the circumstances surrounding the teenage boy’s death.

The 12-year-old Sylvester Oromoni Jr, a student at Dowen College in Lagos, tragically died on November 30, 2021, due to injuries sustained in an alleged attack by senior students.

According to the statement, “their unwavering resolve was reechoed during Oromoni Jr.’s burial on Saturday January 27, 2024, where his father, Sylvester Oromoni Sr., reiterated the family’s commitment to seeking justice at all costs, not only for their son but also for all victims of negligence within the nation’s educational institutions”.
