JUST IN: Ibori Breaks Silence On Oborevwori’s Emergence As Gov, Rally Deltans To Support His Administration

Former Delta State governor, Chief James Ibori

In what appears like a departure from his old political stance, former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Ibori, in his new year message has called on Deltans to support the administration of incumbent Governor, Chief Sheriff Oborevwori to ensure even positive change and progress in the State.

BIGPEN NIGERIA (https://bigpenngr.com) reports that Ibori who fell apart with the immediate past Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa who stood firmly behind Oborevwori’s emergence as governor against Ibori’s choice of Olorogun David Edevbie, may have capitulated on his stance, thus creating anxiety in the camp of former deputy president of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege who was purportedly backing on his support to oust Oborevwori at the Supreme Court.

Although Ibori failed to mention Governor Oborevwori in his message, he specifically harped on the need to extend hand of fellowship to the government of the day both at the state and national level.

His words; ‘In this new year, let’s extend our hands in support of our government. Together, let us collaborate, not just in words but in actions, to drive positive change and progress in our beloved Delta State and our nation at large”.

Political pundits believe Ibori’s new year message would rattle the camp of Omo-Agege and would be a major booster to the Oborevwori’s government that has received the message with some level of political joy.

Below is Ibori’s full new year message:
