The Delta State Government has affirmed its commitment to maintaining a strong relationship with the Delta Online Publisher’s Forum (DOPF).

The pledge was made by the Executive Assistant to the Governor on New Media, Comrade Felix Ofou, during a meeting with representatives from the Delta Online Publishers Forum (DOPF), led by its Chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Enebeli.

Comrade Ofou expressed gratitude for the continuous support the government has received from the online publishers, acknowledging their dedication to reporting government activities, even amidst challenging times.

He reassured them that their partnership was highly valued and would not be undervalued.

Highlighting the crucial role of online media platforms, Ofou referred to them as key contributors in the New Media space.

He applauded DOPF members for their professional handling of government-related information, steering clear of sensationalistic reporting.

On his part, DOPF Chairman, Mr. Enebeli, congratulated Comrade Ofou on his recent appointment and expressed optimism that it would bolster the New Media sector in the state.

He also praised the current administration for their infrastructural projects, specifically in the Warri, Effurun, and environs.

However, he urged the government to focus on improving the Agbor-Umutu-Obiaruku-Abraka road to stimulate economic activities.

Enebeli advocated for better support for the group members given their consistent efforts in disseminating government news daily and sought the Executive Assistant’s cooperation in this regard.
