Engr. Goodnews Agbi, the Special Adviser to the Delta State Governor on Project Monitoring/Audit, has congratulated Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the Governor of Delta State on his victory at the election tribunal.

This follows the dismissal of a petition by Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, the Delta State All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship candidate, by the Delta State Election Petition Tribunal due to its lack of substantial evidence.

Engr. Agbi hailed the Tribunal’s verdict as a reaffirmation of the mandate Deltans had overwhelmingly given to Governor Oborevwori.

The three-person tribunal panel, led by Justice C.H. Ahuchaogu, confirmed Oborevwori’s victory in the March 18, 2023, gubernatorial election in its judgement.

The tribunal underscored that the petitioners were unable to convincingly demonstrate violations of the Electoral Act or corrupt practices.

Dr. Agbi further called on members of rival political party to cooperate with Governor Oborevwori in his M.O.R.E Agenda, aiming to expedite the infrastructure and human capital growth of the state.
