The Delta state Police Command, on Thursday, says it has declared war against kidnappers who have been terrorizing Warri, Ughelli and their environs.

State police Public Relation Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, announced this after the top echelon of the police Command rose from a brainstorming security meeting with key officers of the Command.

The meeting was convened to map out strategies on how to nip in the bud the activities of kidnappers in the area.

The Deputy Commissioner of police operations DCP Johnson Adenola, who convened the security meeting had directed Tactical commanders to proceed to Ughelli and Warri alongside their men to reinforce the divisions.

The strategies which paid off led to the arrest of the suspects in various operations, Edafe said, in a statement made available to newsmen in Warri.

He said that the arrest came as the DPO ‘B’ Division Warri, SP Bolarinwa Alabi, earlier on Thursday May 4, at about 0013hours, received a distress call that some armed robbers snatched a black lexus cars along Warri-Sapele road and have been robbing innocent citizens with the snatched car.
