Delta NNPP Guber Candidate, Agbi Alleges Omo-Agege Plot To Forge Signatures Indicating He Had Withdrawn From Guber Race

The governorship candidate of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Delta state, Engr, Dr Goodnews Agbi has accused Deputy President of the Senate and APC governorship candidate, Ovie Omo-Agege of orchestrating plot to forge signatures in order to indicate that he had withdrawn from the 2023 governorship race.
Agbi made the allegation while inaugurating the new executive of Oyede Ward 12, on Friday February 3, 2023, charging the party faithful not to be sway by cooked up rumours that he was stepping down from the race.
He claimed that Omo-Agege at a time had promised to ‘circulate fictitious and forged documents’ accusing him of having sympathy and working with Governor Ifeanyi Okowa who is the PDP vice presidential candidate.
Agbi disclosed that the rumour making the round was stemmed from plot by a former ward chairman of the party who allegedly connived with the State secretary of the party to use fictitious elements from his home base in trying to malign and discredit him.
“You all should vote for me. I am the INEC recognized governorship candidate of NNPP. I’m in the ballot box for March 11 2023 election. I am not stepping down. So all the Omo-Agege plots and propaganda will not dampen my spirit.
“The erstwhile chairman is an agent of APC in the Ward, who in connivance with the State NNPP secretary, who is a cousin of Omo-Agege and from the unit/ward with him in Orogun, cooked up forged signatures of non-existing people in my Oyede ward 12, with fake suspension letter to tarnish my image”, the NNPP guber candidate alleges.
He accused Omo-Agege of being behind the plot and being so desperate with his ambition, claiming that Omo-Agege, if given the chance would destroy the state’s economy and crashed perceived political opponents and friends.
Agbi who claimed that the APC guber candidate has penchant for corruption, said that he is aware that Omo-Agege in the few months he spent as Secretary to the state Government of Delta State, he bought N600m house at TY Danjuma Street Asokoro, a mansion in Uvwie, a sprawling estate in Orogun.
“Omo-Agege is the most deceitful, corrupt politician in Delta state and he’s without conscience. He is so greedy, so corrupt and will destroy the economy of Delta State if voted into power.
“He will destroy anybody, friends, colleagues, mentors and confidants because of his ambitions”, Agbi claimed.
Agbi, however lamented that the APC government has squeezed life out of the ordinary Nigerians and should be voted out in the general election.
He contended that though the CBN monetary policy is good, the implementation is faulty adding that “It is good because evil and superbly corrupt politicians like Omo-Agege who was hoping of using Tinubu’s billions to buy his way into Delta Government House will be highly disappointed”.
He said that he would not be deterred by the rumour of stepping down being orchestrated by Omo-Agege’s camp, saying; “I’m not deterred and that will not stop me from exposing his corrupt deeds”.
Agbi urged Isoko people to vote for him so that they don’t remain in perpetual slavery that Omo-Agege is planning. He urged the party executive at the ward level to work assiduously for the party and stamp out any trace of Omo-Agege by giving him zero votes for his anti Isoko posture, saying “he will destroy any good thing coming from Isoko”.
He, also claimed that the N1 billion fund Omo-Agege boosted to have brought for the rehabilitations of Primary and Secondary schools in Isoko North and South, has become of a mirage and scam used to deceive the people.
