Apart from the businessman, popularly known as Ezzybee, others abducted are the wife of an ex-chairman of Okigwe Local Government Area, Frank Onwunere and an identified person at Okwelle junction in the Onuimo Local Government Area of the state.Other unidentified persons were abducted at Mbaitoli and Amaraku in the Mbano Local Government Area of the state.

Ezzybee was kidnapped on Sunday while on his way to watch a local football match.

The kidnappings took place separately between Saturday and Sunday in the state.

Our correspondent gathered that Duruji was kidnapped at Ehime Mbano LGA on Saturday at Oriagu while returning from a function.

Police spokesperson for the Imo State Police Command, Micheal Abattam, who confirmed the incidents, said the command is on the trail of the kidnappers.

Abattam added that one of the victims, who was kidnapped at Ubomiri, had been rescued by the police.
