Delta Online Publishers Forum Holds #EndSARS Public Interactive Session

The Delta Online Publishers Forum (DOPF), is set to bring critical stakeholders together for an audience interactive session tailored to proffer solution to the #EndSARS protest’s  logjam.

DOPF, says the interactive programme, which is to be held through its “FRONTLINE” platform, is part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSO) cardinal programmes for the year.

FRONTLINE is a platform of DOPF, a registered body of seasoned journalists in online journalism practice, mainly in Delta state.

The “FRONTILINE”  was designed to provide opportunity for critical segments of the society to air and share their views using a neutral platform in state and national discourse.

Chairman of the “FRONTLINE”, Mr. Chukwudi Abiandu, and Secretary, Mr. Joe Ogbodu, in a statement on Tuesday, said that critical stakeholders, particularly youth groups are expected to grace the audience participatory event.

The event which will hold on Thursday, November 12, 2020, has as its theme: “Aftermath of #ENDSARS: The way forward.”

The event has been slated to hold at Hotel Benizia, Asaba at 11 a.m. prompt.

It will be anchored by the Vice Chairman of Delta State Chapter of Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, Mr. Godfrey Osakwe.

Those expected to discuss the topic are representatives of the Delta State House of Assembly, Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP. Hafiz Inuwa, the Commander, 63 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Asaba, and representative of Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers.

Also, the Delta State Commissioner for Information, Director, State Orientation Agency, Director, National Orientation Agency, a Niger Delta Peace Advocate, Chief Sheriff Mulade, the Commissioner for Youths, Delta State, as well as National Youth Council of Nigeria are expected to be part of the interactive session.

Others guest who have been invited to be part of the event are media executives, the Nigeria Union of Journalists, the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Civil Society Organisations, the DSS, Delta Youth Parliamentarians, Nigerian Bar Association, Nigeria Medical Association among others.

A communiqué will be issued at the end of the interaction that hopefully will point the way forward for the restoration of peace, friendship and friendliness back to the society for harmonious living, the statement added.
