Man Who Parades Himself As ‘King’ In Delta Arrested For Alleged Murder

Chukwunonso Nwoko, a Prince of Idumuje-Ugboko in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, has been detained for alleged murder.

Nwoko was arrested by the Police early Saturday July 18, after weeks of allegedly evading police arrest over an alleged murder case.

Sources said that the Prince has been parading himself as the Obi (monarch) of the Idumuje-Ugboko Kingdom even without be given “Staff of Office” by the State Government.

He was detained late Saturday after hours of interrogation by the police who claimed he had overtime failed to honour invitation over the alleged murder case.

The Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Hafiz Inuwa who confirmed the arrest of the Prince, said he was picked up at about 8:30pm.

The CP said, “We have arrested him for a case of suspected murder and in which all efforts were made for him to appear before the Police and he failed to.

“So, we arrested him early this morning. He is presently with us. He is undergoing investigation.”
