BREAKING: COVID-19 Claims Another Big Fish As Kogi Chief Judge Dies, Nigeria Hits 24,077 Cases

Deadly Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Nigeria has reportedly killed the chief judge of Kogi state, Nasir Ajanah, who has been down at COVID-19 isolation center in Gwagwalada, Abuja.

Although Ajanah death has not been officially confirmed and recorded against Kogi state’s COVID-19 deaths by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), BIGPEN understands a family source confirmed it Sunday afternoon.

So far, Kogi state has three confirmed cases and three hospitalised patient.No death and no discharged has been reported by the state in the last 24 hours, according figures posted in NCDC mini website.

BIGPEN reports the country, as of Saturday recorded 779 new confirmed cases and four deaths in the last 24 hours in three states – Kaduna (2), Enugu (1) and Oyo (1).

According to the figures released by NCDC on Saturday, June 27, Nigeria had 24,077 confirmed cases, 8,625 discharged and 558 deaths recorded in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The 779 new cases are reported from 22 states- Lagos (285), Rivers(68), FCT(60), Edo(60), Enugu(56), Delta(47), Ebonyi(42), Oyo(41), Kaduna(19), Ogun(18), Ondo(16), Imo(12), Sokoto(11), Borno(9), Nasarawa(8), Abia(5), Gombe(5), Kebbi(5), Kano (4), Yobe (3), Ekiti(3), Osun(2)
