The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Muhammad Adamu has ordered the closure of the National Secretariat of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) .

The shut down followed the myriad of court cases trailing the leadership of the party.

Sources said that riot police on Tuesday afternoon stormed the party’s national secretariat in Abuja and sealed it.

The order was enforced through the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Commissioner of Police, who reportedly directed the APC Chief Security Officer not to allow anyone go into the secretariat.

The source said that the IGP had slated meeting with the various tendencies of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) at the force headquarters by 1:pm.
