BREAKING: Nigeria Records More COVID-19 Deaths, 338 Infections, Total Now 5959

Nigeria on Sunday recorded additional 338 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and five deaths from the infections across 18 states of the federation and Abuja, the federal capital territory.

Announcing the figures via its twitter handle, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), said that 177 cases were recorded in Lagos, 64 in Kano, 21 in the Federal Capital Territory, 16 in Rivers, 14 in Plateau and 11 in Oyo state.

NCDC also stated that nine cases were recorded in Katsina, four cases each were recorded in Jigawa and Kaduna, three each in Abia, Bauchi, Borno and two cases each in Gombe, Akwa Ibom, Delta while Ondo, Kebbi and Sokoto recorded one case each.

As of Sunday, the number of cases in the country now stands at 5959 with 1594 previously infected persons discharged and 182 deaths recorded.
